Western Herbalism

Western herbalism is a system of healing that utilizes plants native to Europe and North America, traditionally used to treat ailments and promote health, often incorporating a holistic approach by considering the whole body and underlying causes of illness, rather than just symptoms.

Ayurvedic Herbalism

Ayurvedic herbalism is an ancient medical system that was used to bring balance to the body using herbs and plants that grew in India with the goal to restore body, mind and spirit.

Traditional Chinese Herbalism

Chinese herbal medicines are mainly plant based, but some preparations include minerals or animal products. They can be packaged as powders, pastes, lotions or tablets, depending on the herb and its intended use. Different herbs than what we find in America and each have different properties and can balance particular parts of the body.

Traditional Homeopathy

Homeopathy, also known as homeopathic medicine, is a medical system that was developed in Germany more than 200 years ago by the german physician Samuel Hahnemann. His system of medicine involves highly diluted substances that are meant to stimulate the body’s ability to heal itself. We use them because they have been extremely effective in our experience. And they don’t carry side effects in the traditional sense and can be used in infants, pregnant women and all animals!

Homeopathic Nosodes

Nosodes are homeopathic remedies that are made from the specific products of a particular disease. This can be tissue containing the actual disease agents or tissue affected by those agents. Sometimes nosodes are made from vaccines containing the organisms. The nosodes are prepared in a diluted and potentized form just like all other homeopathic medicine. There is no potential for an animal to become infected with a given disease agent from a nosode because of the pharmaceutical process that occurs which dilutes and inactivates any viable organisms. They are often to used to increase immunity against diseases in people who are not vaccinated.

Clinical Aromatherapy

Clinical aromatherapy involves using diluted essential oils externally to promote emotional well-being.

How They Work

Essential oils can help by triggering emotional and physical reactions in the brain. When you inhale essential oils, the scent molecules interact with smell receptors in your nose. These receptors send messages to your brain through your nervous system. The limbic system is the part of your brain that controls your emotions and memories. When essential oils stimulate by the olfactory system, the limbic system can release feel-good chemicals like serotonin and dopamine which can help with regulating the central nervous system and calming the brain.

Flower Essence Therapy

Flower essences are based on vibrational energetics, rather than biochemical, and stimulate the body’s natural capacity to bring itself back to homeostasis. They are used to affect change in a positive way for emotional and mental well-being, and are one of the gentlest “mind medicines” in alternative health with few side effects.

Face Analysis

Chinese face analysis, also called “face reading” or “mien shiang” in Chinese, is an ancient practice that interprets a person’s internal health by examining the shape, features, and markings on their face, based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), where different facial zones are linked to specific organs and body systems; essentially viewing the face as a map to one’s internal state.

Acupressure

Acupressure is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) technique that involves applying pressure to specific points on the body to relieve pain, reduce stress, and improve other symptoms.

How It Works

Acupressure is based on the idea that applying pressure to acupoints, or specific points on the body, encourages the flow of qi, or “life energy”, through the body’s meridians. It is meant to help bring balanced body energy, reduce inflammation, pain and release endorphins.

Chromotherapy

Chromotherapy, also known as color therapy, is an alternative health therapy that uses colored light to promote health and healing.

How It Works

Chromotherapy is based on the idea that colors have unique energies and wavelengths that can impact a person’s energy, health and perception. Each color is associated with a specific physical and emotional strength, and can be used to stimulate or calm energy centers in the body and mind.
